The successful STARS welcome meeting was swiftly followed by the BSSS Annual Conference in London, to which all the new STARS Students went. Here are a few photos of the event.
Paul George setting up to extract nematodes from soil. The experiment will compare the diversity and amount of nematodes in soils of contrasting organic matter status. This forms part of an assessment of the importance of soil organic matter in regulating soil biodiversity and functioning.
